Part-time Designer

The role: A part-time Digital Designer at a brand-focussed challenger creative design agency based in the South East of England.

In other words...Work, learn and develop your design skills with our team. Support our clients. Deliver digital animations, UX design, website design and creative materials.

The Opportunity

You’ll work closely with our design team, from conceptual work to asset creation. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and be supported.

A typical week could include artworking to print-ready status technical pharmaceutical packaging. Then leading our digital design services with social media graphics for clients, UX and UI design, even some animation. Followed by promoting our services by updating our website with a new case study explaining the value we deliver our clients. Then a couple of admin jobs like archiving completed work and proof-reading a website. You’ll also have an opportunity to enhance your digital design skills.

We are seeking someone who can commit to a minimum of 21 hours per week - with the possibility of moving this role full-time in the future.

Projects are wonderfully varied; from websites to printed packaging; they all share a common approach - delivering distinct, relevant and emotive visual communications. You really need to know the creative design industry and understand what a project needs to be successful. Our projects are rarely that complex, but we always have many on the go at once - so being accurate, fast-learning and confident is key.

Why Now?

The aim of this role is to unlock the growth potential of me&you by supporting our full time team who are now at capacity with client work.

The People

me&you is a small, creative design agency in Kent and Surrey. We’re an experienced creative team of designers and creative specialists, helping our customers market their products and services. We support our clients by: Planning, Creating and Delivering Exceptional Customer Experiences.

Our name reflects our partnership approach, and how we collaborate to create a unique creative solution. Increasingly our focus is on businesses that have a mission and offering that is good for all life on our planet and humanity. If you aren’t sustainable we aren’t for you. This is shown with (award-winning) projects and growth within the Charity, Public and Third Sector - areas we are keen to see further growth in.

We strongly believe our services can be delivered whilst maintaining a true healthy life/work balance, we’ve shown this by offering flexible working years before it was fashionable and rolling out a comprehensive health insurance plan.

Tech

Excellent knowledge and practical experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and XD. You’ll be working from home most of the time and will be provided with all the kit you need (MacBook Pro, large screen etc). If you understand the Wordpress website platform and Google Analytics this would be an advantage.

You

We are picturing a person who loves creative problem-solving design whilst understanding that to make it you also need to roll up your sleeves and support on the day to day tasks too. Who is humble and happy to do some of the important (but not always exciting) art-working rollout work. Who communicates clearly whilst also loving a process and clear plan.

Perhaps you’re a University graduate with a design-based degree or a freelancer for a few years who now wants to work within a team? Either way you’ll be keen to gain more experience, influence and will love supporting others.

As long as you’re willing to take responsibility supporting our team and keeping customers happy, have the drive to contribute to the business and will grasp opportunities to develop your skills - we’d love you to get in touch.
