Your Multi-Award Winning Creative Agency

by Sarah E

me&you are proud to announce, our work with the Young Gamers & Gamblers Education Trust (YGAM) has won three Digital Impact Awards.

me&you is a creative agency that, above all else, cares.  Our work is creative, purposeful and genuine. Nevermore, have our agency’s values been so strongly demonstrated as with our work in the charity sector and the opportunity to support YGAM.

THE WORK: Building safety in a virtual world

YGAM have a social purpose to inform, educate, safeguard and build digital resilience amongst young people.  It was vital that this important work didn’t cease during a challenging time for the children and teenagers of the UK. With great commitment, me&you supported YGAM to achieve three incredible milestones between March and July 2020:

    • Transformed Practitioner Workshops into inspirational virtual classrooms
    • Launched the new Parent Hub website at parents.ygam.org
    • Participated in a groundbreaking online event for the betting and gaming industry; The SBC Digital Summit

In these activities, YGAM shared guidance and knowledge with hundreds of teachers, youth workers, parents and gambling personnel. These adults are now sharing that knowledge and making changes that safeguard young people. These projects demonstrate vision, creativity and smooth-running digital operations. YGAM is one of six UK charities working in this area of gambling and gaming education, and one of only two charities selected for education funding by the Betting and Gaming Council. As a result of the creative digital work produced by me&you, YGAM exceeded their target for the number of practitioners trained in workshops, despite setting this target before we knew Covid’s impact. In May, me&you supported the launch of YGAM’s Parents Hub, at a time when parents needed support to manage their children’s online activities more than ever.

THE CATEGORIES:

BEST USE OF DIGITAL BY SECTOR

It's always good to know how we compare against our competition, so the best in sector categories give us this insight. We were shortlisted for the following sectors:

-CHARITY, NGO OR NFP

-EDUCATION

BEST DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS DURING COVID-19

A special award for 2020, this category recognises the challenges that companies have faced during the Coronavirus pandemic and acknowledges those organisations that have overcome the obstacles of the global pandemic and excelled in their use of digital communications to engage with their corporate audiences.

THE AWARDS

THE ACCEPTANCE SPEECH

This year, the awards were hosted virtually due to COVID-19. As a result, we couldn’t dust off our party shoes to attend the awards ceremony, so the me&you and YGAM team celebrated via video call, it also meant we didn’t have the opportunity to make an acceptance speech.  Had he been invited on stage to collect the award, Matt, me&you founder and creative director would have said….

“Three out of three! Amazing. Thank you. This has been an incredibly challenging year for our clients, the me&you team and my family. To receive recognition for work that truly matters gives credit to the work we do and fills me with pride. Pride for my team, YGAM and for the work that together we’ve delivered. The ambition and trust YGAM has shown is to be applauded. Long may our close collaboration continue to deliver results that matter (and the occasional, most welcome, award).” *wild applause & confetti explosions*

THE GRAPEVINE

Here's what people have been saying about our work

Rachel Haskell,  Shadow Minister for the Voluntary Sector and Communities:

“Speaking to YGAM, it is clear the team has gone above and beyond to ensure they are able to continue to educate young and vulnerable people in these unprecedented circumstances.

I am extremely impressed by the prompt digital transformation of their resources and delivery model. I have been speaking to charities right across the UK to share insight on some of the struggles but also some of the positives. YGAM is a leading example of how charities have successfully innovated, and the team should be very proud.”
