The me&you branding team didn’t rate ‘Traded Services’ as an inspiring business name.
We set to work exploring naming options for a new company providing 73 component London council services.
The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham asked me&you creative company to manage the all-important task of naming their new business. As a team, we held a naming workshop to come up with innovative names that would represent what the company offers and also set them apart within the market. Our creative 5-step process was set in motion.
‘BD Together’ was chosen as a dynamic naming solution, which was ideal for applying to the many different facets of the organisation. You'll see below the other options we had explored. The specific team names including ‘School Catering’ and ‘Building Cleaning’ are expressed underneath the umbrella name.
Next step: brand identity. The Graphic Designers developed new brand marks and defined the logo, colour palette and typography. We created a handy Brand Guidelines document to demonstrate to everyone how to use the new branding.
We made sure that the new brand identity had the versatility to work across different formats. The business cards, uniforms and van livery looked fantastic. Take a look also at how we recommended the branding by me&you was applied to the BD Together website.
